Athletic Transfer
If you did not start your freshman year at TPHS or are NEW to the SDUHSD, you must complete a CIF Transfer application.
New to TPHS (10th, 11th, 12th):
Please complete the TPHS Transfer Worksheet AND provide an official transcript of their last semester grades.
Teams who play ineligible athletes must forfeit games. Teams with 4 forfeits are not eligible for post season playoffs.
Incoming 9th Graders who are New to SDUHSD:
Please complete the CIF 510 Pre-Enrollment Affidavit AND provide an official transcript of their last semester grades
Please read the signature section carefully and only sign where applicable.
CIF Transfer Information:
1) Valid Change of Residence with a Whole Family Move Checklist
2) Any first time transfer student who is not transferring due to a Valid Change of Residence is subject to the Sit-out Period (SOP) unless:
*Student/ school is only requesting Limited Eligibility - eligibility below the varsity level for the entire season.
*Student is requesting Non-Participation - has not participated in the sport in the previous 12 months at the former school.
*Student qualifies for a Hardship, which are now limited to 3 specific criteria that resulted in the transfer:
- Divorce in the family
- Court-ordered transfer
- Documented School Safety Issue
- Foster/ Homeless Children
The sit-out period is not an option for any student transferring for a second time. A second time transfer student is ineligible for one calendar year from the date of transfer in any sport they have participated in, at any level in the past 12 months at the former school.
Transfers due to disciplinary issues at the previous school will be ineligible in all sports for one calendar year from the date of transfer.
