Athletic Clearance

2024-2025 Athletic Clearance is now open!!!

Please read the instructions carefully as our process has changed

Step 1 - Create an Online Clearance on Home Campus

• Navigate to www.homecampus.com/login or click the hyperlink.

• Create an account or login to your existing account. Do not use a student school email when creating your account. You will not receive any emails from Home Campus if you do.

• Click the "Start Clearance Here" button.

• Select ALL sports that you are interested in regardless of season

• Enter all required information and upload your forms (Step 2)

• To add an additional sport after completion, login to your Home Campus account and select the +Sport button.

• After your online clearance is reviewed you will receive one of three status emails. Cleared, Practice Only, or Denied. Practice Only is for transfers. Denials are missing forms from Step 2. Update and/or upload any missing information to update your clearance status. 

Step 2 - Upload ALL required forms listed below as PDF, JPEG, or PNG

• Physical Exam Form

  • Only upload the Medical Eligibility Form (4th page)

  • Athletic physicals are valid for one year from the appointment date. Know when your athletic physical expires!

  • If a physical expires, athletes will be immediately uncleared until an updated copy is uploaded regardless of previous clearance status.

• Private Auto Use Form (Parents AND Athletes)

  • This is a required form for ALL active drivers. Parents AND applicable athletes in your household must upload a form in their name.

  • More than one name can be entered on the form if the same vehicle and insurance information will be listed. If this information differs, a separate form must be completed with the new information and be uploaded. The form will be added and will not overwrite the previous upload.

  • Its purpose: Allows parents/guardians to drive their child to or from a sporting event instead of utilizing the school transportation provided.

  • Athletes who drive must submit this form. However, they can NOT drive when school transportation is provided.

  • The minimum auto policy limits under Insurance Information must be met or exceeded for the form to be accepted.

• HEALTH Insurance Card (Front and Back)

  • Scan or take a clear picture of the front AND back of your card.

  • If you have two separate images, you may use the same upload area to add them. It will be added and will not overwrite the previous upload.

  • Please click here if you would like to purchase low cost accident insurance from Pacific Educators Insurance Services. This can be in addition to the health coverage you provide (Optional).

Step 3 - Transfer Worksheet (only where applicable)

• Regardless of previous school district, an incoming 10th, 11th, or 12th grade student that did not start at Torrey Pines High School their previous year is considered a transfer athlete.

• Incoming 9th grade students who are new to SDUHSD are considered transfer athletes

• Please click HERE if you fall under one of the above categories.

• This form will NOT be uploaded to Home Campus. Please email tpathletics@sduhsd.net or turn in the Transfer Worksheet to the TPHS Athletics office.

Step 4 - Mandatory TP Parent and Athlete Presentation (Will be updated soon)

One parent/guardian must complete the presentation hyperlinked above. This is a mandatory requirement. 

All SDUHSD student-athletes are required by the district to attend their school site’s preseason orientation meeting. The student-athlete will not be able to participate in their first contest until they attend the set meeting. The date will be announced AFTER tryouts and rosters are set. If they miss this in-person meeting due to valid reasons, they MUST watch and complete the above presentation in addition to their parent.

It's important to note that if you have already completed this requirement for a previous sport within the same school year, you do not need to complete the presentation again until the following school year.
