Sunset offers a variety of different support for students including, but not limited to:


Support Groups

Considered by most here to be the heart and soul of Sunset, more than 90% of Sunset students participate in group. Students learn to listen and relate with one another while talking about their experiences. Topics include developing trust and issues of tolerance and equality. Participating in group helps many Sunset students gain perspective about their understanding and serves to help all students feel like they belong to the Sunset community. Our program is a leader in the district and in the country and has received favorable reviews by newspapers, and state and county educational representatives. Sunset High School's Support Group Program has earned Model School recognition by CCEA (California Continuation Education Association).
