Scout Hoppas (she/her) is so honored to serve as this year's President for Troupe 2196 after being Public Relations Officer last year! She enjoys doing theatre both in and outside of school. Productions she has been a part of at SDA include Puffs (Sally), Matilda (Lavender), and The Little Mermaid (Scuttle).  In her free time, you can find Scout reading a book, listening to music, or logging movies on Letterboxd. She looks forward to leading the troupe with her amazing friends, making the club a positive environment where everyone is valued and welcome!🥳💝⭐

Kai Bunyak - Vice President

Kai Bunyak (they/them) couldn’t be more proud to be the Vice President of Thespian Troupe 2196 this year! They have been acting for 10 years, but have never found an ensemble as spirited and welcoming as the SDA theatre community. In addition to serving as dramaturg for several shows, they have featured as the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland, Macbeth in Macbeth, Sebastian in The Little Mermaid, Roland in Swords for Hire, and the Stage Manager in Our Town. Beyond Thespians, they also lead Comedy Sportz—SDA’s improv team—and Dungeons & Dragons Club. Kai is always here to talk, whether it be emotional support, favorite Pringle flavors, or anything Shakespeare :)

Bri Rowe - Secretary

Bri Rowe (they/ them) is absolutely ecstatic to be this year's secretary for thespian troupe 2196! They have been acting for 12 years and have loved every aspect of it. Though SDAs theatre program will always have a special place in their heart. Other than being behind the scenes creating set designs, they have been Ginny in Puffs, Amanda in Matilda, Alice in Alice and Wonderland (and back again), Witch #2 in Macbeth, and Ensemble for The Little Mermaid. Other than theatre, Bri loves to draw, sketch, and Paint. They also Wakeboard, and are the President of SDA’s Film Club! They are down to help with anything, draw with you, talk about sharks, just say hi!

Skye Fenati - Treasurer

Skye Fenati (he/him) is totally stoked to be the SDA Thespian club’s treasurer! He’s been doing technical theater since he got to SDA, and is almost always in the scene shop working on the set. He’s been a part of numerous shows in and out of SDA, some of his favorite being Matilda, Chicago, The Little Mermaid, and Alice in Wonderland. Outside of Thespians, he loves working with animals, drawing, and writing for the school newspaper. Skye is always down to hangout with anyone, whether they are a part of the theater community, or not!

Carlin Smith - Public Relations

Carlin Smith (any pronouns) is thrilled to be this year’s Public Relations Officer for Thespian Troupe 2196. This theater is their second home, maybe even their first if you count the one they spend the most time at. Carlin loves bringing characters to life on stage, with roles including Bruce in Matilda, Candace in Bookstore, and Flounder in The Little Mermaid. Outside of theater, they are also a leader in ComedySportz. Carlin hopes to keep everyone connected and make the theater feel like home for anyone who walks through the doors. They are ready for late-night rehearsals, inside jokes, and all the memories ahead.
