Aliya

Fall Semester - Period 1

Hello! I’m Aliya!! I’m a senior here at SDA and you can find me in the PALs office first period, first semester. I am so excited to be a part of the PALs program this year! I love getting involved in the amazing SDA community and can’t wait to make some great memories here on campus. Outside of school, you can always find me at the beach, sailing, singing with my band, doing theater, reading, or doing anything crafty! You might also see me in the SDA theater, jazz band, and on Dance Team. I am here to chat about anything and everything, I love getting to know new people so stop by anytime to say hello or hang out!!

Emuna

Fall Semester - Period 1

Hey everyone! I’m Emuna, a senior here at SDA and a second year PAL. I’m in the pals office first period fall semester and would love to chat with you. I came to SDA knowing only a couple of kids and now love the community here. Outside of school, I love to do pottery, sew, be in nature, and spend time with friends and family. I look forward to being a listening ear and connecting with new people on campus. If you ever want someone to talk to or just want to say hi, come by the PALs office!

Chaya

Fall Semester - Period 2

Hi yall my name is Chaya. I’m so excited to be a PAL for my second year as a senior! I’ll be in the office 2nd period first semester. I love the SDA community, my favorite class I have taken is AP Bio. When I am not at school I love to go to the beach, hang out with my friends, explore new restaurants and go on adventures with my family. I love the SDA community and I'm really excited to be able to be a further part of it. I’m stoked to be a part of this program if you need someone to talk to or to just breathe don’t hesitate to come in!

Mikayla

Fall Semester - Period 2

Hi! My name is Mikayla! I am Junior and in the PALS office second period first semester. I enjoy taking math and science classes. My favorite classes I took at SDA was American Sigh language. I have been playing soccer since I was 5 and currently play for Encinitas Express. I played on the SDA soccer team freshman and sophomore year. I also love to dance. I have been dancing for 8 years and currently am on the SDA dance team. I decided to become a PAL to better the SDA community and continue it accepting culture.

Fall Semester - Period 3

Hi, I’m Libby!! I am a senior and a second year Pal this year! Outside of school, I love to play tennis, go to the beach with friends, binge watch tv shows, and explore new places! I love being apart of SDA’s community and am so excited for the opportunity Pals gives me to be even more involved! If you ever need someone to talk to, I am in the office 3rd period in the Fall! Can’t wait to see you!

Tobin

Fall Semester - Period 3

Hey! My name is Tobin and I am a Senior at SDA. Some of my favorite hobbies include hiking, playing and listening to music, all sports, and being a part of the Japanese National Honors Society club. I am extremely excited to contribute to such an impactful program on campus and have the opportunity to help my peers. I will be PAL’ng in the fall semester during third period, so please feel free to drop by! :D

Rowan

Fall Semester - Period 4

Hi everyone! My name is Rowan, I’m a senior and am a PAL 4th period this semester. I am a part of our schools field hockey team and am vice president of our schools NAMI club. My favorite class at SDA is definitely AP Psychology. When I’m not at school I love to be outside and with the people I love, whether thats at the beach, going on a hike, or even as simple as scrapbooking and thrifting. I was drawn to the PALs program because how much of a community the program is and loves to offer to others, as well as how supportive the program is. I love being a listening ear for others and am so excited to be able to meet and support my peers. If you ever wanna talk or even just take a break to draw don’t hesitate to stop by the office!

Fall Semester - Period 4

Hi! My name is Tyler and I am going into my senior year at SDA. I enjoy camping and photography on the weekends, and am the treasurer and secretary of the Photo Club. For college, I want to go for both psychology and neuroscience, or a combination of them. I look forward to another great year with everyone!

Maddie

Spring Semester - Period 1

Hi, I'm Maddie! I'm in the PALS office first period second semester and I am currently a junior. I play field hockey and basketball for SDA and I love to spend time at the beach. In my free time I love to hangout with my friends and family, read, go to the gym, and drink coffee. I'm very excited to be part of the PALS program this year and I have been interested in this program ever since I started high school. I love meeting and talking to new people, and I want to support people in the same way I have always been supported by this school! Come by the office if you ever need some to talk to!

Emma

Spring Semester - Period 1

Hi, I’m Emma!! I am a senior at SDA and I am so excited to be a PAL this year! When I’m not PALing, you’ll catch me practicing debate for SDA’s Speech & Debate team or even see me attempt to parallel park. My community means the world to me and lending a helping hand out to those who need it most brings me true happiness. My favorite subjects at school revolve around history (I am secretly a history nerd) & politics….but sometimes I like Biology. In my down time I enjoy playing Roblox with friends, playing board & card games with family, and walking my dog named Terri. Don’t hesitate to stop by the PAL’s office first period of the Spring semester, I’m always open for a chat, a hang out, or just to be a listening ear!

Spring Semester - Period 2

Hi guys! My name is Francisca, and I’m so excited to be a PAL this year! I’m a senior and going to be in the office second semester, 3rd period. I wanted to be a PAL because I love helping others and making them feel welcome. I love being involved in school by being in a lot of clubs because the school culture is so diverse and fun. Outside of school, I enjoy baking, walking at the beach, listening to music, and spending time with my family and friends. I’m ecstatic to meet you guys and help you with whatever you may need. Feel free to come talk to me at the PALs office or around school whenever you’d like!

Spring Semester - Period 2

Hello ! I’m Ryken ! This spring, you can find me in the PALs office during 3rd period !! I'm stoked to be a PAL again this year, and I love any way I can get involved with our school's awesome culture. Around campus, you can probably find me exploring all the cool electives we have at school, like Landscape, Architecture, Sculpture, Culinary, and Fashion. Outside of school, I spend most of my time enjoying all that Encinitas has to offer, by thrifting too much ! (even volunteering at a thrift shop), going to the beach, working , sewing, gardening, and getting lots of brunch! I am also a crazy cat dad and have 2 cats that I could talk about forever. If you ever want to chat about cats or anything at all, feel free to come visit me in 3rd period!

Ava

Spring Semester - Period 3

Hi, I’m Ava! I am a junior this year and I am so excited to be in the PALs office second period in the spring! Outside of school I play soccer, love to read, hike, and spend time with my friends and family. I also love to try new hobbies and have two cats that I adore. My favorite subjects are math and science, but I have also loved taking the Metals pathway. I look forward to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment here at SDA! If you ever need someone to listen, want to chat, or just need a safe space to breathe, please don’t hesitate to stop by the office. Spring Semester - Period 3

Hi everyone, my name is Sofia Green! I am a senior and I will be a second-period PAL in the spring semester! I am a part of our field hockey team and am the president of Girls In Sports club. At SDA, my favorite classes have been Metals and Welding. Outside of school I love going to the beach, thrifting, scrapbooking, and hanging out with my friends and family! Even though I will not be in the office until next semester, I will still be a part of and helping with the PALS program. I am so excited for another great year and I can’t wait to meet all of you. If you ever need anyone to talk to, a PAL will always listen!

Spring Semester - Period 4

Hi! My name is Alexa Hernandez and I am currently a senior! A couple fun facts about me is that I am a dog person, I absolutely love going on sunset/morning runs or simply going to the beach to watch the sunset and, I also love to bake! (My specialty is apple pies!) I am so excited to be joining PALs this year and I'm looking forward to helping out my peers, meeting new students, and making everyone feel heard and supported!

Spring Semester - Period 4

Hi!! I'm Molly, I’m a Junior, and I am in the PALs office 4th period second semester. I love going to the beach, hiking, playing volleyball, listening to music, and reading. I love going thrifting and getting food with my friends in my free time, and I spent almost every night this summer at the beach watching the sunset. I’m so excited to be a PAL this year! It is something I have been intrigued by ever since they came to my middle school. Overall, I just love talking to people and making new connections, and I wanted to help others at this school feel comfortable and excited to do the same! It also seemed like a great way to be even more connected to this school that I love! I’m so excited to see you around school and in the office!
