AVID is an elective course offered for all grade levels. In AVID, students learn organizational and study skills, work on their critical thinking and questioning skills, get academic help from peers and college tutors, and participate in enrichment and motivational activities that help prepare them to be successful in college. The AVID program targets students in the academic middle who have a strong desire to attend college and the willingness to work hard and receive the appropriate support.
