About the SDHHS

Saskatchewan Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Inc. (SDHHS) is a bi-lingual, bi-cultural, non-profit organization which provides a variety of support services and programs for persons with a hearing loss. Founded in 1981, services today include sign language interpreting, computerized note-taking, vocational counseling, early childhood and family program, community service assistance, information and accessibility to many technical aids, assistive and signaling devices and a discount hearing aid battery program.

Mission: To support the independence of Deaf, Deafened and Hard of Hearing people by providing services which enhance their quality of life.

Vision: A world without barriers for people who are Deaf, Deafened or Hard of Hearing.

About the Website

The SDHHS has partnered with the University of Saskatchewan Masters in Educational Technology and Design. Through this partnership with graduate students under the tutelage of Dr. Marguerite Koole and the SDHHS this website was created. The goal of this website it to support teachers with DHH students and encourage positive relationships among peers and DHH students.
