Pre-K has two nurses that handle all the pre-k medical paperwork and are located at our main Pre-K center. Our pre-k classrooms that are located at elementary schools have access to the school nurse on site to handle medical emergencies or illnesses.
If you aren't sure when to keep your child home from school because of possible COVID-19 or other illness, please read the following.
If your child has any of the following symptoms, then your child needs to stay home until they are symptom free for 48 hours without medication:
Fever (100.4 or higher)
Vomiting
Diarrhea
If someone in your household, including your child, have been tested for COVID-19 then your child MUST stay home until test results come back.
If the COVID-19 test is NEGATIVE and your child is not showing any symptoms, than your child may return to school.
If the COVID-19 test is POSITIVE then you must following the protocol below:
Call the main pre-k office- 479-750-8889 and the pre-k site your child attends immediately and let them know that someone in the child's household tested positive.
They will let you know next steps and the district Nurse's office will give you a return date for your child.
