Meet the Teacher

Hello, and welcome to 3rd Grade! My name is Mollie Bessette and I love being a part of the Middleton community. I grew up in Arlington Heights, Illinois, and currently live in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago with my husband, Kyle, and our cat, Cisco. I have two younger sisters. I graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 2016, and finished my Master's in Educational Technology in 2022.  This will be my tenth year teaching third grade at Middleton! I love the Celtics and Red Sox, going to concerts and sporting events, walking outside by the lake, trying new restaurants, and all kinds of animals. 

In the classroom, I am passionate about teaching students how to set realistic goals for themselves, and how to be an independent leader. This is something we work on collaboratively throughout the year! I also love teaching students how to effectively problem solve, and I enjoy watching them grow their confidence over the course of their third grade experience.

I firmly believe that parents and teachers are partners in student education. If you ever have any questions, concerns, or suggestions for me on how to better support your child, never hesitate to let me know! I look forward to an exciting year together.
