Hello! My name is Mrs. Jenny Malone. I am so excited for my third year at Middleton! I was born and raised on the Northwest side of Chicago, and attended Saint Louis University in Missouri to earn a degree in Elementary Education. After college, I taught for 7 years at a Catholic school in Bucktown and completed my Masters Degree in Special Education from DePaul University. I also spent time substitute teaching for Chicago Public Schools before making the move to District 73.5.
My husband and I have two daughters, Georgina and Annabel. We also have a labradoodle puppy named Mickey who keeps us very busy. My family loves to spend time together outside and explore new places. I enjoy cooking, baking, exercising, and trying new restaurants with my husband.
In my classroom, I hope to provide my students with a place in which they feel comfortable to share ideas, work together, and appreciate one another's differences. I truly believe that the partnership between home and school is vital to student success, and realize that I cannot do it alone. My door is always open, and I encourage you to reach out to me with any questions or concerns you may have. I am looking forward to meeting you and your child in the coming weeks, and I am confident we will share many rewarding experiences together!
