In reading intervention we begin the school year using Explode the Code the pre-literacy workbook series. Through visual, auditiors and kinesthetic actiities students learn the 21 constant names and sounds.

In February students in reading intervention begin using the Book 1 in the Explode the Code Series. Using this curricul students learn through multi-sensory actvities. Studenst are taught the names of the 5 vowels and their corresponding sounds. In this seriers students begin reading CVC (consonant-vowel-constant) words, sight words and begin reading basic sentences.
