Hi 4th Grade Families! I am thrilled to be your child's teacher this year. This year will be my 6th year at Middleton Elementary and 4th year teaching 4th grade. Middleton is truly such a special place to work! I graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Additionally, I received my Masters in Reading from National-Louis University in Chicago. I am currently taking classes to receive my ESL certificate.
My teaching experience spans from the suburbs to the city. My teaching career began in Northbrook teaching 5th and 2nd grade, transitioning to Chicago Public Schools, teaching in 1st grade at Skinner North Classical School. I value having the opportunity to work in such a culturally rich school district and am excited to learn from the students and families.
For fun, I love to spend time with my family, friends and my dog, Carter! I rescued him during the summer of 2020 and he brings me a tremendous amount of joy and laughter. I enjoy staying active and venturing out to experience new restaurants around the city. Do you have any great recommendations? I'm all ears!
I am thrilled to be a part of the Middleton family and look forward to all of the new and exciting learning experiences (and laughs!) to be had over the next year!
