Most Chrome Apps are simply shortcut links to other websites such as the ones shown in the image on the right.

Chrome Extensions are small software programs that are added directly to your Chrome Browser. You will usually find them on the top right corner after the url address bar in your Chrome Browser. All school district computers have the Read&Write Extension (purple puzzle piece) already installed. Other extensions can be added to increase functionality to other programs you may already use online such as Google Drive and Google Classroom.
