Hello Marigold families! My name is Ms. Shum, your music teacher. On this website, you will find some fun activities, favourite songs, and resources. I will be posting some suggested activities and highlighting some resources on musical Monday mornings.
Some things I bet you didn't know about me:
1) I cycle to school almost every day - 19 km round-trip!
2) I love watching hockey. Go Habs!
3) When I was a kid, I was extremely shy and I hated singing or talking in front of other people.
4) I am very ticklish.
5) Harry Potter is one of my favourite books. Can you guess my house? What is yours?
Do you have any interesting facts you would like to share with me? Email me at ashum@sd61.bc.ca.

"Welcome to music, everyone! Hope you have a lot of fun."
Do you remember our hello song? I just want to say that I miss you all and am looking forward to seeing you again soon. I hope that you are all happy and healthy at home.
Although we are not in music class anymore, we can still make music together! We used lots of different instruments at school, but you don't need any special equipment to sing, dance, listen, or learn. You can even make your own instruments at home! Music is important way to get your brain thinking, your body moving, and your heart full of happiness. I hope it will be an important part of your day.
I am posting new material every Monday - because it is Music Monday, of course!
I would love to hear from you! Send me a message, a picture of what you've been working on, an audio clip of you singing, or a simple hello to me here
