Environmental Science is the study of how the natural world functions and how humans have impacted the world. We will focus on how our use of natural resources affects other parts of the biome and greater world.
A large portion of this class is learning about local environmental issues and possible responses. We will utilize excursions to experience environmental issues first hand and design experiments to test environmental issues.
Our goal is to make connections across the other classes. For instance Mr. Deitz and Mr. Lillard tied flies for Outdoor Pursuits while also teaching about invertebrate life cycles and how it relates to fly fishing while Mr. Adamcyk taught "A River Runs Through It".
Learning about an avalanche blowdown area.
