FHS Art field trip to Wanda Hollensteiner Gallery
Flathead High School's Art Department is a place where creativity takes flight, and inspiration is a daily event. Beyond the fundamentals, this department invites students to explore a diverse and challenging curriculum, including the rigorous International Baccalaureate (IB) Visual Arts program. Students can unleash their imagination in a wide range of media, from traditional painting and drawing to modern digital photography & film, graphic design, and captivating 3D mediums like ceramics, sculpture, and jewelry and metalsmithing.
The FHS Art Department fosters a vibrant artistic community. The dedicated Art Club provides a space for students to explore their passions beyond the classroom, experimenting with different techniques and materials. The department also celebrates student talent through events like the annual Fine Arts Celebration and participation in the prestigious IB Visual Arts Exhibition. Student work has also been recognized at local galleries, such as the Glacier Art Museum. Guided by passionate and experienced art teachers, students are encouraged to grow their skills and find their unique creative voice. For any student with a passion for art, Flathead High School's Art Department provides the tools, guidance, and community needed to turn creative aspirations into reality.
