University of Pittsburgh's MAPS program is partnered with the district
Provides a Behavioral Health Specialist and a Prevention Specialist
Specialists meets with students & helps families connect with services
Can conduct mental-health screenings and risk assessments
Prevention Specialist teaches Social-Emotional lessons at CVIS
Works directly with School-Based Counseling agencies to provide referrals
Working with MAPS requires parent/guardian permission

The district is waiting for the state to approve the locations designated for counseling. Family Links can start working with students and their families while the approval is processing.
Family Links counselors will routinely meet with students during school
Helps families who have limited transportation or schedule options to ensure that students receive the services they need
Works directly with MAPS to receive referrals
