The intent of this section is to encourage students to explore topics and ideas that inspire and excite them, leading to the development of competencies such as the ability to think critically, communicate, create, collaborate and at the same time, strengthen their core skills such as Literacy and Numeracy.

When a student finds a topic that they are interested in learning more about the possibilities are endless. They can:

- Create a presentation outlining their learning:
- ie: Video, Website, powerpoint
- Write about their learning
- Develop an innovative idea or product
- Work on a solution to a real world problem
- Develop and practice a new skill such as a sport, fine art, food, etc.
Suggestions to approach a Curiosity and Wonder project:

- Identify a topic that you are interested in
- Find sources of information about the topic
- Brainstorm what skills you might learn while you explore your topic, or what skills you might need to use for your project or plan
- Set a time line ie: two weeks and make a plan to:
- present your learning at the end of your exploration using one of the above approaches (make a video,etc) or use an approach of your own
- Record in your MAP any new skills, perspectives, understandings, or other areas of learning that you have gained.
