Connect 44 Center: Where Education, Recreation, and Community Thrive

The Connect 44 Center is a vibrant hub for learning, exploration, and connection, seamlessly integrated with Glenn Westlake Middle School to serve the Lombard community. 

Designed to inspire students, engage families, and support athletes, the Center embodies District 44’s commitment to fostering growth and nurturing connections.

State-of-the-Art Facilities

The STEAM labs offer dynamic spaces for science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics education, with flexible indoor and outdoor learning environments that encourage creativity and collaboration. During school hours, these space enrich the middle school curriculum. After hours, the Connect Center transforms into a resource for community groups to learn and grow.

The Field House offers versatile courts for basketball, volleyball, and more. Additionally, the Turf Room features artificial turf for field sports. By day, these recreational spaces are a hub for student activity; by evening and weekend, they becomes a venue for league tournaments, practices, and events.

The Connect Center is attached to Glenn Westlake Middle School, 1514 S. Main Street in Lombard.

A Vision Realized

When Superintendent Dr. Ted Stec, administration, and the Board of Education envisioned this space, their goal went beyond simply adding classrooms to the middle school. They saw an opportunity to enhance student experiences and meet community needs by combining academic innovation with recreational excellence.
