I truly love my job and I am always looking for ways to grow as an educator and as a leader. I take professional development and graduate classes regularly in an effort to stay informed about new teaching methods, project ideas, and assessments. I am often the person in a meeting that says something like, "well, what about..." or "why don't we let student's try..." I always stand up for those on the margins of education and society because I recognize my privilege as a middle class white woman. Finally, I am a huge advocate for LGBTQ+ students because I never want them to feel alone at school like I did. You should also know that I am a vocal liberal who is moderately involved in holding politicians accountable for their actions and my social media posts on my personal pages may offend some. I do keep those types of posts off my professional pages.
