My passion for special populations makes working with InnEdCO a great match because I believe that special populations are in the most in need of innovation. I can only think of one better way to bring new and unique ideas to the educators working with these students than as an InnEdCO Ambassador and that would be by serving as an InnEdCO board member. I attended my first InnEdCO conference in 2020, became an Ambassador and presenter in 2021., and haven't looked back. The board has always had members who are passionate about innovation and EdTech but there has been a lack of vocal representation specifically for students on IEPs and ALPs. Innovation is the perfect way to reach these students and I want to help the board find ways to capitalize on this. The pillars of InnEdCO and the commitment of the board to honor them really resonate with me. The focus on equitable education is what I've built my career on. All students deserve to be in classrooms that welcome them and enable them to reach their goals. InnEdCO has given me both an outlet to share my passion and access to a multitude of innovative ideas that I've been able to share with my classroom, school, and district.
