Campus Tours

Periodically throughout the school year we take students on field trips to visit the colleges and universities closest to us. However, many colleges make it easy to schedule your own, individualized tour! Keep an eye on the Counseling Center for announcements about future trips!

College Visits

Representatives from colleges all across the country visit us here at CHS in the Fall to share information about all of the opportunities their colleges provide. This way, you can talk face-to-face with an admissions counselor and ask questions and learn more about your college options!

If you are planning a Campus Tour yourself, here are some things to keep in mind:

Reserve Your Spot! Call the college's admissions office to arrange a time that works for you.

Make a Day of It! Some campus visits can take multiple hours depending on what you want to see. Give yourself enough time to explore and relax.

Pack Snacks and Water! You'll be doing a lot of walking and absorbing a lot of information. Hydrate!

Take Notes and Pictures! Notes and momentos can help you remember special things about a campus when you're deciding which school to attend.

Ask Questions! Asking questions is the best way to clear up all your concerns. Choosing a college is a big commitment; don't be afraid to grill the tour guide!

Go Beyond the Tour! Tour guides are invaluable, but don't forget to take time to go off on your own and explore. Talk to current students! Find out what everyday life on campus is like!
