NTCA - VARIES
The foundation annually awards scholarships to an exceptional group of rural students for their first year of college or vocational school. All applicants require sponsorship by an NTCA—The Rural Broadband Association member company to be eligible. Blackfoot Communications is our local sponsor.
FRS has awarded over $1 million in scholarships since its inception; empowering rural students throughout the country to advance their communities with invaluable skill sets and experiences.

Idaho's Battle of the Belts- $2500
The Office of Highway Safety, in partnership with State Farm Insurance, is pleased to present the Idaho Battle of the Belts competition! In this competition, we invite high school students across Idaho to develop plans for increasing seat belt use in their high schools and their communities and the opportunity to compete for up to $2,500 in student college scholarship awards.

Idaho Opportunity Scholarship- up to $3,500/year-Open Oct 1- FAFSA COMPLETION NEEDED
Recognizing the need for a well-educated workforce, Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter and the Idaho Legislature established the Opportunity Scholarship to remove barriers to higher education and prepare college/university graduates to enter the workforce. The Opportunity Scholarship awards eligible applicants up to $3,500 per academic year and is renewable for up to four years.
The scholarship funds are available per school year. Recipients must renew each year and are eligible to receive the scholarship for a maximum of four years.
Eligibility
Have an unweighted, cumulative GPA of 2.7 or above
Be an Idaho resident
Graduated or will graduate from an Idaho high school or its equivalent or Idaho home school (GED/HSE from Idaho)
Complete the State Board of Education scholarship application by March 1
FAFSA Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid by March 1
Maintain satisfactory academic progress for financial aid purposes. (See program rules for more details.)
Must attend an Idaho college/university

Idaho Governor's Cup- $3,000/year
The Idaho Governor’s Cup was established in 1974 by then-Governor Cecil Andrus. It is a 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to help Idaho kids pursue their higher education goals at our state postsecondary institutions.
Depending on funding, the Idaho Governor’s Cup Scholarship provides approximately 25 awards to Idaho high school or home school seniors planning to attend an Idaho college or university. Funds are awarded to students pursuing academic or career technical education. This is a $3,000 award, renewable up to four years for academic programs and up to three years for career technical programs.
Eligibility
Be a resident of Idaho
Be a graduating senior of an Idaho high school or home school, or a first year student in a CTE program
Enroll as a full-time student in an academic or technical program at an Idaho college or university, taking the ACT or SAT if enrolling in an academic program
Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
Attend the first semester of college following graduation
Write a 500-word personal essay about your goals and interests
High consideration for selection will be based on a demonstrated commitment to public service. Documentation of volunteer work, leadership, and public service is required

Eastern Idaho State Fair 4H & FFA Scholarship- $1,000
In keeping with its past tradition of supporting outstanding high school seniors, the Eastern Idaho State Fair, in partnership with Butler Amusements, Inc., will again be awarding six (6) $1,000 scholarship to 2022 graduating seniors that were involved in the 2022 Eastern Idaho State Fair in either 4-H or FFA. Must be a 2023 graduate with a 2.5 GPA. This scholarship fund has awarded over $92,000 to deserving college-bound teens since its inception sixteen years ago.
Application is online and fillable. A digital picture must be included. Applications must be typed or completed in blue or black ink.

Alois & Marie Goldmann Memorial Scholarship
The Alois and Marie Goldmann Scholarship was established in 1997 by Mary and George Freund in honor of George’s grandparents who perished at the Auschwitz concentration camp during the Holocaust. The purpose of this scholarship is to promote a greater understanding of the Holocaust among high school students in Idaho.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
• Be a student graduating from high school or home school within the state of Idaho.
• Must be attending an institution of higher learning in Idaho during the coming Fall.

Farm Bureau - State Scholarship Turned Into Local Office First
Scholarships are available to select individuals of Idaho Farm Bureau families for one year of higher education at an institution of their choice. Over $130,000 was awarded across the state to Idaho Farm Bureau students last year. Scholarships are limited to one per recipient. Complete and return the application to your county Farm Bureau office for verification of membership.

2023 Teton Regional Land Trust Michael B. Whitfield Scholarship
The Teton Regional Land Trust created this scholarship in honor of Michael B. Whitfield who helped found the organization in 1990 and served as its Executive Director for 18 years. Michael’s passion for and commitment to land conservation in eastern Idaho has been instrumental in the preservation of key landscapes in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
Eligibility
Students must live in the Teton Regional Land Trust service area. Counties include Bonneville, Clark, Fremont, Jefferson, Madison, Teton County, Idaho and Alta, Wyoming. Candidates must show an intention to pursue a major course of study in college or vocational school in the environmental sciences, biology, ecology, environmental planning or policy, agriculture, or a related field. Applications must be received or postmarked by March 3th 2023. Scholarship funds are open to graduating seniors. The award must be used for undergraduate education.

Farmers Grain Cooperative Scholarship- $2,000
Applicant must be attending high school and graduate the year the scholarship is
awarded.
Applicant must attend any university or technical college in Idaho or Utah.
Applicant must demonstrate the desire to further his/her education and a need for the
scholarship to pay tuition.
Special consideration will be given to applicants with an interest in agriculture.

Idaho Trappers Association Conant Family Scholarship
The Idaho Trappers Association (ITA) was founded in 1979 to promote sound conservation, legislation, and administrative procedures to save and faithfully defend from waste the natural resources of Idaho; to promote sound environmental education programs; and to promote a continued annual fur harvest using the best tools presently available for that purpose. ITA's priority objective is to educate young trappers in the harvesting and management of Idaho's resource and to better educate the public on the consumptive use of wild animals as a necessary wildlife management tool. ITA is also a supporter of the National Trappers Association and helps to defend and promote the safe and ethical harvest of furbearing animals and to the preservation and enhancement of their habitats.

Applicant or a member of the Applicant’s family is a current member of the ITA
Applicant has plans to participate in a post-secondary education school or program, including vocational or technical programs within 12-months of award

Idaho Nursing and Health Professions Scholarship-
Student accepted into an Idaho accredited nursing or health professions program, including but not limited to respiratory therapy, physical therapy, etc.;
• Demonstrated financial need as documented on the standard FAFSA report;
• Preference given to students in the top third of the academic ranking of the class.

Anne Veseth Memorial Scholarship
For graduating high school seniors or current undergraduate college students attending or planning to attend a public or private, two- or four-year college or university in the state of Idaho and majoring or planning to major in Fire Ecology or Auto Mechanics. Or for any student who is also a current Wildland Firefighter majoring in any subject. Minimum 2.5 GPA

Larry J. May Hospitality Management Scholarship
For full-time students enrolled in a degree-seeking program related to the hospitality industry, including hotel/lodging, food service/restaurant, entertainment/golf club, resort, and the travel/tourism industries.
Eligibility
Resident of Idaho; Enrolled and/or accepted as a fulltime or part-time student in a degree-seeking program related to the hospitality industry at an accredited public or private college or university.
• Preference given to full-time students, but part time students will not be immediately disqualified. • Hospitality-related programs include (but are not limited to) hotel/lodging, food service/restaurant, entertainment/golf club, resort, and the travel/tourism industries.
• Awarded primarily on the basis of a student's sincere desire for further education or training, and individual achievement as evidenced through participation in outside interests and activities, leadership roles and/or work experience. GPA or academic standing will not be the primary determinant

Mike Crapo Math & Science Scholarship
For full-time first year students majoring in math, science, or engineering at a four-year college or university in the state of Idaho.
Eligibility
• Resident of Idaho;
• Majoring in math or science (including but not limited to the area of engineering).
• Enrolling as a full-time student at the freshman level (first year) at a public or private four-year college or university in the state of Idaho.
• Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above for all class work prior to the application;
• Awarded primarily on the basis of a sincere desire for further education or training, and individual achievement as evidenced through the student’s academic record, participation in outside activities, leadership roles and/or work experience.

Yvonne & Dick Lierz Scholarship
For students who have made significant contributions to their community through community service enrolling in their first or second year at a public Idaho or Nevada university.
Eligibility
Enrolling in the upcoming year as a first or second year undergraduate student at any public Idaho or Nevada institution of higher learning.
• Demonstrated volunteer involvement in at least one charitable activity benefiting the community.
• While grades, activities, and recommendations are important, if an applicant's cumulative grade point is below 2.8 they will be seriously considered only if they are able to convince the Scholarship Selection Committee of a high desire to advance their education.

Fall River Electric Cooperative Scholarship
Over history, Fall River Electric Cooperative has helped hundreds of students gain access to higher education. Scholarships total $2,400 and are paid in increments of $600 annually with applications due in March of each year for the school semester beginning the following fall. Scholarships are available for high school seniors planning to attend college, and to those already enrolled in higher education. Students may apply for any of the four scholarship programs listed below.

2024 Frontier Credit Union Scholarship (Formerly EICU)
Every year Frontier Credit Union gives out scholarships to hard working students in our community. The purpose of this scholarship program is one $2500 and ten $1,000 scholarships to Frontier Credit Union members to aid them in their pursuit of higher education.
Eligibility
Must be a member of Frontier Credit Union with an account in your name
Must provide verification of acceptance to school before scholarship funds are disbursed
Must have a GPA of 3.0 or greater
Must be a graduating high school senior and plan to attend an accredited college, university or technical school in the United States as a full-time student (Funds can be held if student is planning a gap year or service opportunity before enrolling in college).

Westmark Credit Union Scholarship
Westmark Credit Union is committed to the advancement of education in our communities and for our members. As an expression of this commitment, Westmark will award fifteen $2,500 Scholarships in 2023. These Scholarships will be awarded by established regions. Scholarships are available only to members of Westmark Credit Union who have a minimum of $25 in their Westmark Account. In order to be eligible the following criteria must be met: 2023 High School Graduate Attend a State Accredited or Licensed Post-Secondary School (any state) Use scholarship funds in the Summer or Fall of 2023 (check will be made out to the school listed on the application) GPA of at least 3.50

Blackfoot Communications 2023 Scholarship
Blackfoot is again offering academic and trade school scholarships. Graduating seniors/applicant’s parents/guardians must be current Blackfoot residential customers located within Montana/ Idaho rural service areas. Scholarship awards may be awarded from $1,000, up to $2,500. Winners will be announced in mid-April 2023.

Minimum 2.0 GPA with Preference to 2.5 GPA and above.
