Kurt & Genola Kandler Scholarship-Amount varies
The Kurt and Genola Kandler Scholarship is available to students who have graduated from North Fremont High School since 2014. Recipients of this scholarship must plan to enroll as a student in a public or private junior college, college, university, vocational, or technical school. The applicant must also demonstrate academic merit and ability as well as a strong desire to further their education. The funds for this scholarship will only be available to students for 6 years from the time the scholarship is awarded.

Fall River Lineman College Scholarship- $2,400/year
Fall River Electric Cooperative’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce a NEW $2,400 yearly scholarship offered to members or children of members interested in a utility career as a lineman. This scholarship will be awarded to ONE person who plans to enroll in a lineman college.
The applicant or their parents or guardians must be members of Fall River Electric to qualify.

Mountain America Credit Union Elevate Scholarship
You must meet the following requirements to be eligible for this scholarship.
Applicants must live within Mountain America’s footprint in Utah, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Arizona or New Mexico.
Applicants must fall within one of the following eligibility groups:
A high school student graduating in the 2025-2026 school year.
Graduated from high school no earlier than spring 2023 and delayed higher education for military, humanitarian or religious service
Graduated from high school no earlier than spring 2020 and delayed higher education for up to five years (extended gap year) remain eligible.
Applicants must be enrolled as a higher education student, for the first time, in fall 2026. If received, this scholarship cannot be deferred
Scholarship recipients must be enrolled full-time at their selected higher education institution
Scholarships granted through this program can only be sent to higher education institutions with a Federal School Code
Membership is not required to apply for a scholarship. However, scholarship recipients must qualify for membership and open an account before receiving funds.

Foundation For Rural Service - VARIES
The foundation annually awards scholarships to an exceptional group of rural students for their first year of college or vocational school. All applicants require sponsorship by an NTCA—The Rural Broadband Association member company to be eligible. Blackfoot Communications is our local sponsor.
FRS has awarded over $1 million in scholarships since its inception; empowering rural students throughout the country to advance their communities with invaluable skill sets and experiences.

Blackfoot Communications 2026 Scholarship
Blackfoot is again offering academic and trade school scholarships. Graduating seniors/applicant's parents/guardians must be current Blackfoot residential customers located within Montana/Idaho rural service areas. Scholarship awards may be awarded from $1000, up to $2500. Winners will be announced in mid-April 2025.

Eagle Rock Lodge #19 of Idaho 2025 Scholarship
Requirements:
Applicant must live in the 2nd Masonic District of Idaho. Includes Blackfoot, Shelley, Firth, Idaho Falls, Rigby, Driggs, Victor, St. Anthony, Dubois, Island Park, and surrounding areas.
Applicant must present proof of post-secondary education registration upon receipt of award.
Applicant must be grade 12 or currently enrolled in post-secondary education.

Eastern Idaho State Fair 4H & FFA Scholarship- $1,500
In keeping with its past tradition of supporting outstanding high school seniors, the Eastern Idaho State Fair, in partnership with Butler Amusements, Inc., will again be awarding six (6) $1,500 scholarships to 2026 graduating seniors that were involved in three (3) of the last five (5) years of the Eastern Idaho State Fair in either 4-H or FFA. Must be a 2025 graduate with a 2.5 GPA. This scholarship fund has awarded over $100,000 to deserving college-bound teens since its inception sixteen years ago.
Application is online and fillable. A digital picture must be included.

Farm Bureau - State Scholarship Turned Into Local Office First
Scholarships are available to select individuals of Idaho Farm Bureau families for one year of higher education at an institution of their choice. Over $130,000 was awarded across the state to Idaho Farm Bureau students last year. Scholarships are limited to one per recipient. Complete and return the application to your county Farm Bureau office for verification of membership.

2024 Frontier Credit Union Scholarship
Every year Frontier Credit Union gives out scholarships to hard working students in our community. The purpose of this scholarship program is one $2000 Grand Prize Scholarship, nine $1,000 scholarships, and one $1,000 Arlene Walker Scholarship to Frontier Credit Union members to aid them in their pursuit of higher education.
Eligibility
Must be a member of Frontier Credit Union with an account in your name
Must provide verification of acceptance to school before scholarship funds are disbursed
Must have a GPA of 3.0 or greater
Must be a graduating high school senior and plan to attend an accredited college, university or technical school in the United States as a full-time student (Funds can be held if student is planning a gap year or service opportunity before enrolling in college).

D.L. Evans Bank Scholarship
The D.L. Evans Bank Scholarship awards a total of $32,000 to high school seniors in our service areas each year. Sixteen $2,000 scholarships are awarded and students are able to use the funds at any accredited college, university, or trade school located in the United States. D.L. Evans Bank believes in supporting our innovators, leaders, and dedicated workforces of tomorrow, recognizing that students working towards a goal need support.

Westmark Credit Union Scholarship
Westmark Credit Union is committed to the advancement of education in our communities and for our members. As an expression of this commitment, Westmark will award fifteen $2,500 Scholarships in 2025. These Scholarships will be awarded by established regions. Scholarships are available only to members of Westmark Credit Union who have a minimum of $25 in their Westmark Account. In order to be eligible the following criteria must be met: 2025 High School Graduate Attend a State Accredited or Licensed Post-Secondary School (any state) Use scholarship funds in the Summer or Fall of 2025 (check will be made out to the school listed on the application) GPA of at least 3.50

Fall River Electric Cooperative Scholarship
Over history, Fall River Electric Cooperative has helped hundreds of students gain access to higher education. Scholarships total $2,400 and are paid in increments of $600 annually with applications due in March of each year for the school semester beginning the following fall. Scholarships are available for high school seniors planning to attend college, and to those already enrolled in higher education. Students may apply for any of the four scholarship programs listed below.

2025 Teton Regional Land Trust Michael B. Whitfield Scholarship
The Teton Regional Land Trust created this scholarship in honor of Michael B. Whitfield who helped found the organization in 1990 and served as its Executive Director for 18 years. Michael’s passion for and commitment to land conservation in eastern Idaho has been instrumental in the preservation of key landscapes in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
Eligibility
Students must live in the Teton Regional Land Trust service area. Counties include Bonneville, Clark, Fremont, Jefferson, Madison, Teton County, Idaho and Alta, Wyoming. Candidates must show an intention to pursue a major course of study in college or vocational school in the environmental sciences, biology, ecology, environmental planning or policy, agriculture, or a related field. Applications must be received or postmarked by March 28th 2025. Scholarship funds are open to graduating seniors. The award must be used for undergraduate education.

Hamilton Relay - $1,000
A Telecommunications Relay and Captioned Telephone service provider for Montana and Idaho, is offering a Scholarship opportunity to graduating high school seniors in Montana and Idaho who are deaf, hard of hearing, DeafBlind or have difficulty speaking to assist in their goals of continuing their education.
Candidates are required to submit an application, write an essay under the topic of communication technology and provide a letter of recommendation in order to qualify. Hamilton Relay will select one candidate from each of the states where Hamilton is the contracted service provider. The scholarship value is $1,000.
Applications must be received or postmarked by that date.

ISU ROAD SCHOLARSHIP
Many Fremont County Students who have applied to this scholarship have received it. They are awarded in person at each school's awards assembly.
Requirements:
Registered ISU Student with access to BOSS (Bengal Online Scholarship System)
Graduate of Southeast Idaho High School and Idaho Resident
Minimum 2.0 GPA with Preference to 2.5 GPA and above.
Attend ISU Full-time in the upcoming Fall Semester as a new incoming Freshman.

Valley Wide Cooperative is committed to investing in the future of our member’s communities through education and leadership development.

Beehive Credit Union Scholarship
Service Award consideration will be given to eligible students who meet the following criteria, listed in order of importance: Service. Outstanding service to others is the most important factor in determining who receives the service award. Financial Need. Financial need is taken into account as we wish to give assistance to students who seek to further their education, but need help funding such a goal. Academics. Your scholastic performance will be considered, but does not weigh as heavily in the decision-making process as the other two factors. Disbursement. Student must be enrolled during school year in which award proceeds are given.

Fremont County Farm Bureau Federation Scholarship
Fremont County Farm Bureau is awarding (3) scholarships to deserving students from North and South Fremont (student must be a resident of Fremont County). 1st Place $3000, 2nd Place $1500, 3rd Place $500. Requirements and instructions to apply are listed on the application.

Fremont County Fraternal Order of Police Public Service Scholarship
One-page minimum to three-page maximum essay. Meant for North Fremont and South Fremont graduating seniors.
Two $500 scholarships given out.

Emily Baum - "Never Quit" Scholarship $4000 with $1000/year
Emily Baum was a 2016 graduate of North Fremont who then learned in the spring of 2017 as a 19 year old attending Utah State that she was diagnosed with cancer. Her rare form of cancer was not treatable. Emily wanted to share the message of "Tell them, mom, that I never quit . I don't want anyone to think I ever gave up".
In memory of Emily who was strong willed, smart and beautiful, the family offers this scholarship in her name. It is $4000 total as $1000 per year for four years. Application accepted between March 1st and April 30th of each year.

PEO- Women's Philanthropic Organization $500
PEO is an international women’s philanthropic organization whose mission is to help women
around the world advance through education. PEO was established in 1869 and now has over
200,000 members worldwide. Ashton has had an active PEO chapter since 1939 and is
committed to inspiring North Fremont students to seek out educational opportunities after high
school. Scholarship applicants must be a female graduate of North Fremont High School with
plans to pursue a post-high school certificate or degree. The Scholarship is a one-time
payment of $500.00 to the institution the recipient will attend. Applications must be turned into
the Counselor’s office at North Fremont High School by 4:00 pm May 1, 2025.

Julie Atchley Memorial Scholarship
Julie Atchley was born and raised in Ashton. She was a delightful student who was involved in many activities and was the North Fremont student body president. She was tragically killed in an auto accident several years after graduating, and these scholarships are in her memory. The students who are selected for these awards must have a 4-year cumulative GPA of 2.0 and above. They must also be going to a trade or training school- lineman school included. Donor is looking for motivated students that will stick with schooling and may not typically qualify for scholarships based on GPA alone. This scholarship may be deferred for a mission, military or other service work.

Dennis & Paul Gifford Scholarship-$1,500
This scholarship is given in memory of the Gifford family. The application contains a brief history of the Gifford family farm, and the scholarship application gives North Fremont seniors an opportunity to write a short fiction or non-fiction story on the topic of potatoes. Stories should be typed and should be a maximum of one page.

Joe Foster Memorial Scholarship- $1,000
Joe Foster taught at North Fremont for 29 years. Joe was a wonderful man and a wonderful teacher. He was also the "Voice of the Huskies" at sporting events. Teaching was his life's work, and he loved being a "Husky."

Cooper Lee Lenz "You Are Not Alone"- $1000
Cooper was a graduate of North Fremont High School. He had a love for wrestling and was North Fremont’s “Heavy Weight” his senior year. He was a big guy on the mat, but a gentle giant off the mat. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed many activities as a youth, such as baseball, soccer, football, camping, riding his Artic Cat, and time spent with family and friends. Cooper accepted others for who they were and never judged or excluded someone based on appearance, social status, race or religion. Cooper battled anxiety and depression and despite his best effort, passed away on October 24th, 2021. This scholarship is intended to help end the stigma that surrounds mental health issues in our schools and communities. Cooper’s parents and siblings would like this scholarship to represent a step forward in the treatment, education and awareness of mental health issues.

J. Lloyd McCord Memorial Scholarship
The J. Lloyd McCord Memorial Scholarship is for students who are pursuing a degree in Agriculture in some capacity. The scholarship is also based on GPA and extracurricular activities. Award amounts to be determined. Application needs to be turned in to the Counselor's Office with 2 letters of recommendation.

Ruth M. Jenkins Memorial Scholarship
The Ruth M. Jenkins Scholarship honors a compassionate teacher that taught for several years at Ashton Elementary School. Her daughter, Jeannine Reimers, perpetuated and increased the fund upon her passing. The Ruth M Jenkins Memorial Scholarship was established for students who are pursuing a degree in Education. Award amount to be determined. Application needs to be turned in to the Counselor's Office with 2 letters of recommendation.

2025 Grand Peaks Scholarship-$1500
Grand Peaks is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in both Rexburg and St. Anthony. An FQHC is a community-based organization that provides comprehensive primary care and preventive care, including health, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services to people of all ages, regardless of their ability to pay or health insurance status. Grand Peaks would love to see students grasp the vision of helping underserved communities and see that all people are deserving of quality healthcare. All applicants for the Grand Peaks Scholarship are future students seeking to be in healthcare and will receive a 1-time $1,500.00 scholarship.
Students who are seeking to be in healthcare should apply by completing application and required essays.

Sherri Lynn Crumley Memorial Scholarship**WATCH FOR UPDATES
This $1,000 scholarship is in memory of Sherri Lynn Crumley and will be awarded to a music student from Eastern Idaho planning to enroll at the University of Idaho with the purpose of obtaining a degree from the School of Music or Music Education. The award will be based on (1) Academic Accomplishments, (2) Financial Need, (3) Musical Accomplishments, (4) Musical Goals, (5) Overall Participation in School Activities, and (6) Community Service.
