This book is part of Seven: The Series. I started with this because it seemed logical, but the nice thing about the series is that you don't have to read it in order. The series is about the seven grandsons of David McLean. In his will, each of the grandsons is given a task to complete. We know very little about David McLean, but each book, through the tasks given to his grandsons, reveals a bit more about him as a character. In this book, DJ (Daniel Junior), the oldest grandson and a twin, goes to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and learns how his grandfather changed the life of a Tanzanian boy. It's a great adventure, with some interesting twists. I highly recommend it!

In this book, the second-oldest McLean grandson has to go to Spain and find a particular person as the task given to him in his grandfather’s will. Steve is only given an address and a small metal key, and has to figure out the rest of his ‘mission’ as he goes. The key goes to a small suitcase that has been kept by a woman who knew Steve’s grandfather when he was young. It turns out that David McLean fought in the Spanish Civil War in 1938. It’s a good story, and we find that David McLean was a person who believed in fighting for what he thought was right. We also find that ‘right’ isn’t the same for everyone. I’d recommend this to anyone who likes war fiction. There is some graphic content, but it is within the context of the war storyline.
