Progressive Discipline Steps

Step 1: Warning

-Teacher will issue student a warning or hold a conference with the student

 about behavior infraction, and allow them to correct behavior

Step 2: Parent Notification

-Teacher will contact parent via phone or email to notify about student behavior

Step 3: Assign Detention

-Teacher will issue a 1-hr. or 2-hr. detention to student

-Parent will be notified of the detention via phone or email

Step 4: Parent Conference

-Teacher will contact parent to set up a conference

-A plan will be made for the student to correct behavior

-A detention will be issued at end of conference

Step 5: Referral to Office

-Teacher will write a referral to office and 

principal will take the next applicable steps
