About Me

This is my 6th year at Whiting Middle School. I have a Bachelor's Degree in History from Purdue University and completed the Transition to Teaching Program at Calumet College of St. Joseph here in Whiting. I live in Portage with my fiancé, Josh and we'll be getting married in June 2027. I have a niece in college, a niece and nephew in High School. I also have a cat named, Apple Rose. When not at school, I like to spend time with family and enjoy fun events around Portage with my fiancé. I enjoy reading history books on early and modern US history, as well as some historical fiction books. When not reading about history, I enjoy reading  Jane Austen's books as she is one of my favorite authors.  I love the play Hamilton, as well as gnomes and sunflowers. I am a big Swiftie and love all things Taylor Swift. On Saturday's in the Fall, I enjoy rooting for Notre Dame's football team!
