Proficiency Scales
A proficiency scale communicates learning in relation to academic standards. The district proficiency scale describes the proficiency levels used to communicate student learning across K-12 content areas.
Standard Proficiency Scales
Standard proficiency scales describe & communicate the proficiency levels for a particular standard. They contain the most critical learning targets encompassed within a standard and they place the focus on the evidence of learning that a student has provided, as indicated by the criteria of the standard. High quality standard proficiency scales provide clarity for students, families, and teachers on the learning expectations.
