ACT Assessments are designed to measure skills that are most important for success in postsecondary education and that are acquired in secondary education.
Please see the table below to understand which ACT assessments students will take throughout the school year.
All students in grades 9 and 10 will participate in ACT Aspire testing three times per school year. ACT Aspire measures students' progress and mastery of the ACT College and Career Readiness Standards. Teachers can use classroom level reports to understand student progress and tailor lesson plans to student needs. Students and parents can use results to understand learning, set goals, and focus on specific areas of strength or weakness. Students and parents can also create an account at OpenEd.com that will connect students' ACT Aspire scores to instructional lessons.
All 11th graders at Rio Rico High School will take the ACT assessment at no charge to families. The ACT contains four tests: reading, English, math, and science. ACT tests are designed to measure skills that are most important for success in postsecondary education and that are acquired in secondary education. The score range for each of the four multiple-choice tests is 1-36. The Composite score that students earn is an average of the four tests rounded to the nearest whole number.
