Hi! My role as the wellness coordinator is to oversee the wellness program at Wilcox. Some of my responsibilities include:
Coordinate school-based mental health support for students and refer families to community resources.
Collaborate with parents/guardians and school staff in addressing our students' social-emotional needs
Offer ongoing clinical support to our wellness counseling associate who provides mental health services to our students, as well as field work supervision to our social work intern.
Provide emotional support to students and help them develop skills to promote their well-being.
I am proud to be one of many caring adults on campus who are dedicated to helping our students be the best person they can be.
Self-care is important because when we take good care of ourselves as adults, we can take better care of our students. As part of my self-care, I enjoy reading, biking, and hiking.

A little about myself, I earned my undergraduate and master's degrees from San Jose State University (Go Spartans!). I was raised in San Jose and have cultural ties to the Muwekma Ohlone region of California. Over the last decade, I've had the privilege of working with children, youth, and families from diverse backgrounds. Five of those years were dedicated to K-12 education, promoting student support and wellness.
In my free time, I enjoy attending live music and festivals, spending quality time with my two chihuahuas, and exploring new places. I am thrilled to support you and Wilcox High School's counseling needs this school year!
