What Are Confidential Counseling Services?
Confidential counseling provides one-on-one support to help students care for their well-being, navigate challenges, and move towards their goals.
Students often seek counseling when they are:
Feeling stuck or unsure - "I'm not sure what I need. I need help figuring things out."
Experiencing grief or loss - "I've lost someone special."
Having social relationship issues - "I'm going through a breakup." "I'm having friendship/family problems."
Building resilience and balance - " I want to take on challenges and stay well. How can I do both?"
A safe and supportive space for students to address their emotional needs
A quiet place to hang out during lunch
Collaboration with parents/guardians and/or school staff to develop strategies to support students, based on their individual circumstances
Assistance with crisis intervention on campus
Support educators' work by providing resources and opportunities for debriefing
Information on community resources to help students and their families meet their needs
Lessons on stress management, emotional regulation, and healthy relationships
Practical tools to support students' well-being in and out of the classroom

FAQ for Students:
I want to check out the Wellness Center and see the space. When can I go?
Stop by the Wellness Center before your first class of the day or after your last class of the day when we’re open. You may stay till the bell rings or when we close. You may come during lunch as well.
I want to schedule an appointment to talk to someone. What do I do?
You may either:
Complete the Wellness Check-in Appointment Request form, or
Contact us via phone call, text message, or email
Our contact information is on this website. We will respond to you during our Wellness Center hours.
I am too overwhelmed to stay in class. What do I do?
Let your teacher know you need to go to the office to request a space for a quiet break and/or to speak with someone
Go to the front office with a pass from the teacher
Complete a screening form at the office
Wait for the office staff to confirm our availability at the moment
What can I expect when I visit during class time?
During your visit, you may ask to speak with someone, or you may take a break by yourself in our common area, where we provide sensory tools and a creative art station.
Each visit is typically 10-15 minutes long. The goal is to help you reach a point where you can be physically and mentally present in class.
