The Sacramento LGBT Community Center works to create a region where LGBTQ+ people thrive. They support the health and wellness of the most marginalized, advocate for equality and justice, and work to build a culturally rich LGBTQ+ community.
WEAVE is the primary provider of crisis intervention services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Sacramento County. WEAVE’s mission is to promote safe and healthy relationships and support survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence and sex trafficking. WEAVE’s vision is a community free of violence and abuse.
Gender Health Center is a trans and
POC-led, grassroots nonprofit organization located in Sacramento. GHC provides support through programming (mental health, affirming healthcare, legal advocacy), trainings, and indirect services.
The Lavender Library is a volunteer-run LGBTQ+ library, archive, and community space in Sacramento with queer books, films, archives, zines, and more. The library hosts book clubs, support groups, open mic nights, craft markets, and other community events year-round.
Social Justice Politicorps seeks to ensure that those most impacted by social inequities are equipped to shape solutions necessary for a socially just Sacramento through civic engagement and education.
Youth Forward provides training and support to young people in leadership and organizing. Additionally, they seek to strengthen the work of community based organizations through advocating for increased investments in children and youth services.
TrevorSpace is an affirming, online community for LGBTQ young people between the ages of 13-24 years old. With over 400,000 members across the globe, you can explore your identity, get advice, find support, and make friends in a moderated community intentionally designed for you. This is a program of The Trevor Project.
interACT Youth Program was founded with the goal of empowering the next generation of intersex Youth leaders ages 13-29, by helping them further develop their advocacy skills, fostering a space where members work together–building community. InterACT uses innovative legal and other strategies, to advocate for the human rights of children born with intersex traits.
Q-Spot is a brave space to hang out, be around a community of other LGBTQ+ and allied peers, play video games, watch TV, have snacks, do homework, and engage with Youth Advocates. Youth 13-24 are invited to join our Discord server to chat with other local youth and staff.

Trans Families is a nonprofit organization that has been supporting transgender people and their families since 2008. The organizations seeks to inspire hope, increase understanding, and create a visible pathway to support trans and gender diverse children and all those who touch their lives.
Gender Spectrum’s mission is to create a gender-inclusive world for all children and youth. To accomplish this, we help families, organizations, and institutions increase understanding of gender and consider the implications that evolving views have for each of us.
