ChildCare

Child Action, Inc. (CAI) is a private, non-profit corporation that promotes the education and social welfare of children and families and advocates on their behalf. Our programs include resource and referral services for families seeking child care, child care subsidies for qualifying families, recruitment and professional development of the child care workforce, and family education and support.

The Sacramento Children’s Home operates the county’s only Crisis Nursery. Our mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect by providing support to families in times of crisis. The Sacramento Crisis Nursery is a family-strengthening program, where parents can bring their children ages 0-5 to one of two Sacramento nurseries for emergency childcare services or overnight care during difficult times

My Friends Pediatric Day Healthcare Center provides nursing care to medically fragile children with chronic health conditions. Our RNs, LVNs, and Personal Care Attendants provide individualized care based on the child’s physician-ordered Plan of Care.
