Counseling Interns
I am currently in my second year of graduate studies in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Evangel University. Nearly two years ago, I moved from North Dakota after earning bachelor's degrees in Biblical Studies and Psychology from Trinity Bible College. My husband Aaron and I love spending time outdoors, going on walks, and appreciating the beauty of nature. We also enjoy experimenting with new recipes, working on puzzles, and sharing a good cup of coffee together. I am grateful for this opportunity and hope to serve the students of Springfield Catholic schools and their mental health needs well.
My name is Courtney McRoberts and I am 29 years old. I was born, raised, and currently live in a small town. My husband and I celebrated our 5-year anniversary this past fall. He and I have a chihuahua named Piston. I am currently in Evangel's online Master’s Program for Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am projected to graduate May 2026. I received my bachelors degree in Christian Ministries, from College of the Ozarks and worked as a Children’s Case Manager for almost 5 years. I love working in the mental health field, however, outside of school and my career I enjoy spending time with loved-one’s. Some interests of mine include: going on walks, grabbing coffee with friends, thrift shopping, Bible studies, serving at Church, going bowling, and watching a good movie. I am excited to work with Springfield Catholic Schools and am thankful for this opportunity!
I was born and raised in Lebanon, Missouri. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southwest Baptist University, and I am currently completing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Evangel University, with plans to graduate in May 2026. My background includes working with children and teens in education, childcare, ministry, and nonprofit settings. I also have some experience working with individuals with disabilities. Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Ethan, and our two cats, Pebble and Clover. I also enjoy going on walks, watching movies, reading, drawing, playing music, and learning languages. I am looking forward to being at Springfield Catholic Schools, and I am grateful for this opportunity to support students and their families.
