I was raised in Nevada, Missouri. My mother worked as a Special Education teacher within a state school and later as an early childhood teacher for the public school system. My father worked as a Psychologist in a prison system. I have one older brother who is married with four children. I attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg for my Bachelor’s of Arts and Master’s of Science degrees. I received my doctorate from Forest Institute of Professional Psychology. I am married to Eric Perkins, who is a teacher at Springfield Catholic High School and we have three sons. Charlie, Eric Jr., and Titus who all attend Immaculate Conception School. We also have two dogs named Murphy and Maverick. Before coming to SCS, I worked in the field of developmental disabilities which will always have a special place in my heart.
