PICKUPS:
Pickups MUST be entered in VD.
Affinity is reading the PKUP Ad# Field to Pickup an ad.
If removing/changing a pickup number, ensure it is being removed in all fields. Clean up.
If you order the ad and later realize it needs to be a PU, you have to enter the PU number in VD and recommit the ad.
CHANGES:
All Pickups must have an option selected in the "Changes" field. Select as many as is applicable.
No Change - straight pickup
Copy Changed - The copy in the ad is changing
Art Changed - Any images in the ad are changing
Size Changed - The pickup is a different size than the order.
IF THERE IS NOT A PU NUMBER - DO NOT SELECT ANY OF THE RADIO BUTTONS
# OF COLORS:
Only Choose "NONE" or "FULL (4)"
If the design is for specific colors, explain in the instructions.
ex: Black and Red only. Make all text Blue. etc.
CAMERA READY:
If the order will be Camera Ready, you must choose "Y"
NOTE: if you are picking up a Camera Ready ad, choose "N"
PARENT (Gang) ORDERS CANNOT HAVE A PICKUP NUMBER:
Parent ads CAN NOT have a pickup ad number applied in Vision Data. This is mandatory. Provide the ad number you are modeling from a previous order in the instructions for the designers to reference.
Parent Ads need to be recommitted AFTER the 1st child is ganged to it. This is the only way the parent can be identified in Affinity so the child ads link so the designers can complete your request.
CHILD (Member) ORDERS MUST HAVE A GANG AD NUMBER:
Child ads must be linked to the parent ad using the Gang Ad# filed.
Pickup rules apply (choosing the correct radio button-see above).
Remember to mark these as billing only so they are not placed in the layout mistakenly.
