Professional Learning Communities at SVHS
PLCs are essentially the application of the scientific method to the practice of teaching.
As in all science, it is the intentional use of data to draw conclusions and test their validity.
It is also a social exercise in being willing to be open to critique and new ideas. Trust amongst colleagues is needed.
A high functioning PLC has at its core an unwavering focus on the discovery of Truth, and its creative application in the classroom, so that students may have the experiences they need to be their best selves.
