General Overview involving Study Preparation

When quizzes or tests are announced to the students, they are posted on the middle school test calendar and on my homeroom whiteboard. I am suggesting that student's study for multiple nights before a quiz or test. It is much better to study in smaller increments on a regular basis so that students are better with maintaining and applying information. Students will only need to study from their study guide, that we go over in class. There are links at the bottom to access daily details about assigned classes.

Week of: 8/18- 8/21: Welcome Back! Let's get to know each other, learn about classroom procedures and expectations and start things up.

General Overview involving Study Preparation

In middle school the regular homework in science is to study be reviewing what was covered during the day. By doing a quick 5-10 minute review of the study guide topics that were taught or discussed that day, the student is ready to apply the new information coming the next day or to be ready to participate in the discussions that take place. This also allows a student to ask questions about what needs clarity or reinforcement.

Quizzes/tests are posted on the calendar below. I suggest that student's study for multiple nights before the quiz. It is better to study in smaller increments on a regular basis to better maintain and apply the learned information. When it comes time to study for a quiz or test, the student will only need to use their study guide. We go over this in class and review it often.
