The focus of 6th-grade Religion is Old Testament salvation history, beginning with the story of Creation, through the period of the patriarchs, the royal kingdom of Israel, the splintering of the kingdom, captivity in Babylon, their return, until the Maccabean revolt. We relate people and events of the Old Testament to their fulfillment in the New Covenant in Christ and connect these events to our own lives as Catholic Christians.

The focus of 7th-grade Religion is two-fold: the Gospels of Jesus Christ and the preparation and reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation. We connect the life of Jesus to the prophesies and predictions of his coming in the Old Testament and learn to apply Jesus' law of love to our lives as Catholic Christians. Reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation will stir up and strengthen the gifts of the Holy Spirit they received in Baptism and prepare them to be a stronger witness to Jesus through their lives.
The focus of 8th-grade Religion is the 2000-year history of the Catholic Church, beginning with Pentecost until the present day. We discuss the foundation of the Church; its growth despite persecution and heresies; the age of the Church Fathers; conversion of continents of the world; the East-West Schism; corruption and reform in the Church; the effects of political events on the faith lives of Christians; the treasury of the saints; and we relate these events to our own lives as Catholics.
