We begin our class with ten minutes of silent reading of a book of the student's choice that has been teacher approved. Students will do a written report over one book per quarter. First quarter book report is due October 9.
Each day students have a Word of the Day to learn. They write the part of speech, definition, a sentence using the word, and an illustration. We have a vocabulary test after 10 words are given. We also have one foreign expression each week that students are encouraged to say. Students take a test at the end of each quarter over the foreign expressions.
