During the 2026-27 school year, I will be completely revamping resources I have available for chemistry. These new resources will included GUIDED NOTES and PRACTICE SETS for a variety of chemistry and physical science topics. The rollout of these new resources has officially started and will continue throughout the year. Below is a short description and projected timeline of when I will have resources for certain topics available. 

DESCRIPTION OF THE GUIDED NOTES:

• The guided notes I create for each topic will consist of one double-sided page organized into manageable sections that include:

  • Bulleted notes

  • Step-by-step examples

  • Embedded practice questions

  • Challenge questions

• These notes are designed to be completed by students alongside their teacher. As the teacher fills in the notes with the students, the teacher can emphasize important concepts, model each skill, annotate examples, and demonstrate how the information presented applies directly to the practice questions.

• The questions embedded throughout the notes allow students to apply each skill as it is introduced and build confidence before moving on. They also provide natural opportunities for think-pair-share, class discussion, formative assessment, and the identification of misconceptions throughout the lesson.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PRACTICE SETS:

• The practice sets I create for each topic will consist of one double-sided page divided into clearly organized parts that align with the content and skills introduced in the guided notes. 

• The variety of tasks and question types included in the worksheet allows students to apply what they have learned while deepening their understanding and building confidence.
