Thank you for your support :)
Hello fellow AP Bio teachers! I am in the process of completely revamping all my AP Biology resources. The older resources I have created can be found on my website and are available for free. New AP Biology resources are in development and will be available on TPT throughout the 2026–2027 school year.
The updated unit resources I am creating will be chunked into “lessons” that cover one or more of the Topics from the College Board's 2025 CED Unit Guides. Each lesson contains an ample collection of material, which are summarized below. Because revamping these units will be a year-long process, I will be releasing each lesson as it is completed, instead of waiting until the entire unit is finished.
This is a link to a FREE completed lesson: “Lesson 1B: Structure & Properties of Water." (This is one of six "lessons" for Unit 1.)
Updated resources for all of Unit 1 are now finished and available on TPT! A Year-Long Lessons *Growing Bundle* is also available for those looking to purchase the new updated lessons in advance. A projected timeline of releases can be found in the information below.
EACH LESSON within a unit includes the following:
Updated Google Slides with detailed notes and images aligned to the new 2025 CED. I’ve completely rewritten the bulleted notes to contain more fine-tuned explanations and greater emphasis on important AP Biology concepts. For years looking at released AP Exam and AP Classroom questions, I’ve kept a list of important additions and changes I’ve been wanting to make to the older notes available on my website.
A Notes Outline handout that includes all of the bulleted information in the Google Slides. The outline is formatted to allow students plenty of room for annotations, including a dedicated margin for questions, written notes, drawings, etc. The margin is purposely sized to also fit 2-inch Post-it notes.
A Practice Questions handout aligned with the notes to help students process the information in the notes, as well as scaffold and build up their ability to answer AP Exam Free Response Questions. This handout includes:
Guided Note Questions, which focuses students’ attention on important concepts and information in the notes.
AP-Style Free Response Questions, which use a variety of AP Biology "Task Verbs" commonly used in AP free response questions.
A “Quick Check” set of multiple-choice questions, to be used as a quick quiz or informal formative assessment. Each one contains 10 multiple-choice questions completely aligned to the notes, allowing you to continually check students’ understanding. I’ve used these for many years to help flip my classroom and to hold students accountable for learning (and studying) in small manageable chucks throughout a unit.
A MCQ Question Bank, which is a google document containing the 10 Quick Check multiple choice questions along with an ADDITIONAL 10 multiple-choice questions to help with creating alternative versions, as needed.
Answer Keys to ALL Questions (Guided Note Questions, AP-Style Free Response Questions, Quick Check Multiple-Choice Questions)
A bunch of small details that I hope you’ll notice and appreciate, such as:
Information that dives deep into the 2025 CED Unit Guides, providing students the essential information they need to pass the AP Exam as well as more detailed information to fully support students striving for a 5 on the exam.
Carefully selected, constructed, and edited images on EVERY slide that illustrate the details and concepts on that slide.
Carefully selected vocabulary terms for students to focus on in each set of notes.
Questions that target concepts and misconceptions repeatedly addressed by College Board AP Questions
