STEAM for Justice Summit

STEM for Justice is back in 2024 as STEAM for Justice!

We are excited to announce that STEM for Justice will now include an art category to showcase the amazing work done by student artists. For more information on this new category please visit our Student Participant Info page. 

For more information on the 2024 event check the 2024 Event Schedule page. The event is tentatively scheduled for Friday, June 14th, time 4 - 6 pm. The event will remain virtual. 

For high school students there are two ways to get involved: 

For high school students, we have 2 ways to get involved during the STEM for Justice summit. Go to the Student Information and Registration page to learn more about each participation option and to register. 

OPTION A: ATTEND (Prep time: no prep; just participate)

Any high school student is invited to participate in the event to learn about the different action projects showcased throughout the summit. Register to participate by Monday June 12th! 

OPTION B: PRESENT A PROJECT (Prep time: some prep needed ⏰)  

If you are already working on or intend to work on a project that is at the intersection of STEM, community service and social justice, share your work with others at the summit! We are looking for students or student groups/clubs to present their work during the poster session. Individual students or groups (clubs or organizations) can sign up to present. Sign up to present by Monday June 5th! Posters to be submitted by Monday June 12th! All Presenters will be awarded the '2024 Fred Hutch STEM for Justice Presenter Certificate'.

Educators and people who are working at the intersection of STEM and social justice are welcome to attend the summit as community members and learn about student action during the poster session. For more information on how to get involved please go to the Community Members page.
