We welcome all students and projects/proposals from all parts of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM)! Projects must be related to a form of STEM but it is not required for it to be related to a specific one. They can be about health, public health, biology, physics, ecology, etc.
If you are presenting with a group, your group only needs to submit the registration form once. Pick one member of your group to submit the form for the group and there will be a section to name other group members. Only one poster is needed per project.
The other group members should register as a participant to make sure they receive the Zoom information before the event.
Your poster/presentation can be on anything related to STEAM and justice/community action. It can be something that you are already doing in your community or an idea for an action you can take. For more information on the project/presentation go to the Student Participant and Registration page.
The only requirement that we have is that it has a strong connection to justice/community action. We are asking for this connection to diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and community service/action to be demonstrated through the projects themselves as well as a justice statement that will be submitted for each project.
Ideas and project proposals are welcome and totally okay as poster topics! The summit will be a great place for students to get ideas and feedback from other students and community members. For more information on the project/proposal go to the Student Participant and Registration Page.
Once your proposal has been accepted we will reach out to you with instructions on how to submit your poster.
You can submit a poster (made on a single Google Slide) or a slide deck (maximum 5 slides) for your poster. For more information and to see the template poster go to the Student Participant and Registration Page.
Poster presentations will be done in a science fair poster session style where presenters will wait at their posters for one of two 30-minute rotations. During the rotation, the presenters, attendees, and community partners will visit posters. Presenters should be ready to present their projects and answer any audience questions when people come to their poster.
During the second rotation, presenters do not need to be at their posters. They can visit other projects to listen to other presentations.
