Amani ILM Fund

About

The Amani Ineke Lelijveld Mulder Fund is dedicated to nourish the power of women with each other and for each other.

Thanks to it, activities and programs are organized for the empowerment of women in the broadest sense of the word, with a focus on projects for women who come from other cultures and live in the Netherlands.

The Fund has been assigned at the School for Peace in Egmond, and we gladly accepted and are proud to work with it.

Amani: the story

The name connected to the Fund is that of Ineke Lelijveld Mulder, a person who was politically and socially active in women's interests during her life.

Ineke lived in Africa for several years: the word "Amani" -that in Swahili means peace- brings an echo from cultures and environments that she interacted with.

The story of Amani starts at the end her life: the fund is Ineke's heritage, donated with a clear intention: that the money would be used by women working with other women, with a special attention to the integration of diversity.  As a precious seed, her heritage is now bearing fruits, keeping her name and ideals alive through each of the Amani activities.

Field of action

The projects under Amani can regard, for example:

• the integration of refugee women in the Netherlands

• the emancipation of women in the Netherlands and in their our own country

• developing a friendships network of diverse women in the Netherlands

The resources at our disposal are:

• space in the School for Peace in Egmond (room for group activities and accommodation for 13 people)

• thanks to the fund, the opportunity to financially fund or co-fund activities.

If you have a good idea for a possible project, do not hesitate to contact us: info@schoolvoorvrede.nl

Especially women who live in Dutch society and are from a different cultural background, are invited to think along with us.
