I’m a 7th grade ELA teacher who believes in rewriting the rules — with creativity, compassion, and a deep commitment to helping every student grow. With a heart for special education and a love of language, I aim to make reading and writing meaningful, accessible, and even a little magical for my students.
From the vivid imagery in Ray Bradbury’s short stories to the poetic rhythm of The Crossover, I choose texts that spark curiosity and conversation. I use creative tools — including AI — to help bring abstract language to life, especially for students who learn differently or need extra support.
Above all, I strive to create a classroom that’s calm, curious, and full of possibility — where students feel seen, capable, and proud of their voices.
Short Story by Ray Bradbury
Over the summer, I taught an art camp where we made giant food sculptures out of papier-mâché!
