This image shown on the left is one result of searching up 1989 in China's Wikipedia, Baidu Baike. The name of Taylor Swift's album comes up which is not related to any protests of that year.

This image shown on the right is another result of searching up 1989 in Baidu Baike. The literal number 1989 comes up in different forms. Again, nothing related to Tiananmen Square is a result.

The image shown on the left is an example of the cruel actions the government did. A man was detained for participating in the remembrance of the protests. People would think that the reason for detaining someone would be for a real crime but the only thing that Hao Qun did was write an essay.

The image shown on the right is another example of the government being extreme. A group of people were punished just because of creating a liquor label that referenced what happened at Tiananmen Square. They did nothing truly wrong since alcohol is an everyday item in the world.
