Dates: July 7 – August 1, 2025
Schedule: Summer Arts Institute meets daily, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Accepted students must commit to full attendance and participation for the entire program.
Please note: The day may extend beyond 3 p.m. if students are off site on a field trip. A field trip calendar will be included in the June pre-Institute mailing. Updates will be distributed weekly while the program is in session.

Transportation: An MTA student MetroCard will be provided to each student free of charge on the first day of the program, July 7th. It is valid for the duration of the program. During weekdays, the school is accessible by subway on the:
N or W trains to 36th Avenue (36th Ave at 31st Street - note that construction is active, please refer to MTA website for more information - http://web.mta.info/service/)
R or M trains to Steinway Street (Steinway Street and Broadway)
Bus transportation will be provided to and from Frank Sinatra School of the Arts for students living in the Bronx, South Brooklyn (Districts 17, 18, 20, 21, 22), South Queens (Districts 27, 28, 29), and Staten Island. Pick-up/drop off time and location are to be determined and will be communicated in late May.
Meals: Free breakfast and lunch are available at the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts cafeteria while the program is in session.
School Credit: Students who complete the program in good standing will be eligible to receive 1 arts credit. Students entering grades 8-9 will have the credit added to their middle school transcript. Students entering grades 10-12 may apply the credit towards an elective arts credit or a Regents or local diploma-major sequence upon approval from their school.

*Both the morning and evening performances are ticketed events. Each student may receive up to 2 tickets per performance. A limited number of additional tickets may become available during the performance week and will be distributed at that time through a random drawing. Tickets are not required to attend the art exhibit.
