1st Grade conducted an EcoRise recycling project at our school to raise awareness on sustainability practices, like using refillable water bottles. In their grand efforts to reduce single use plastic waste, they were able to collect and win a grant of $700 dollars from EcoRise to purchase reusable water bottles for our school students!

2nd Grade focused on conflict resolution and how people can work out disagreements. Through modeling, persuasive writing, and support from our social worker, guidance counselor and SAPIS worker, students learned how to recognize their emotions and use their voice to resolve conflicts amongst themselves. The end product was creating a Public Service Announcement (PSA) for our school to promote better social, emotional learning practices!
