Our Vision

Our vision at PS 130 is to achieve equity and empower students so they can acquire, demonstrate, articulate and value: thinking, knowledge, and behaviors that will support them as lifelong learners, participating and contributing to the global society as leaders, and practicing the core values of our community: ​Imagine, Believe, Achieve.

Instructional Focus 2025-2026

PS 130 will continue to strengthen formative assessment practices and utilize success criteria and effective teacher feedback to increase student independence and transference of knowledge by clearly defining success criteria for each lesson, providing targeted and actionable feedback, and regularly assessing student progress to ensure they can independently apply their learning across contexts, resulting in an increase in student independence and growth in reading and math proficiency levels.
