Leo sat in his dad’s office. He was packing his bag for the first day of school. “DAD!! ’’ he shouted. “ Where are my notebooks? ’’
“How should I know? ’’ Shouted back Love, Leo’s father. Leo stuffed his hands in his jacket pockets and sighed. Guess I’ll have to go find new notebook’s. He thought. He went to his bedroom and began to look.
The next morning, he woke up early to a big breakfast. “ What’s this? You have a client this early? ’’ Leo asked.
“ A little family tradition of mine. My father did it for me, and his father did it for him and so on. On the first day of eighth grade, the father has to make a big breakfast for their child, so this is yours. I hope you like it, ‘took me all morning to make. ’’ Love replied. Leo stared in shock, so much that his jaw hurt. Covering from corner to corner on the dining table was pancakes, waffles, french toast, egg’s in all types of styles: Sunny-side-up, hard boiled, & scrambled.
All Leo could think of was the great day that this was becoming.
